Fourscore and seven moons ago, our co-founders brought forth, on this cattle-ground, a new VC company, conceived in capital efficiency, and dedicated to the proposition that some tech startups are created superior.

Now we are engaged in a great tech review, testing whether that tech startup, or any tech startups so conceived, and so dedicated, can long profitable. We are met on a great Zoom call of that due diligence. We have come to select a portion of those companies, as our final portfolio, for those who here gave their equity dilution, that that business model might thrive. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this tech review.

But, in a larger sense, we cannot re-write, we cannot optimize — we cannot forget — their technical skeleton. The original developers, staying and left, who coded here, have consecrated the technical debt far above our poor power to add or detract.

The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here in our diligence report, but it can never forget all the dramas afterward. It is for the current developers, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so wobbly advanced. It is rather for the developers to be here dedicated to the great release remaining before us.

That from this un-normalized database we take increased devotion to that cause for which they here gave the last full measure of hotfix — that we here highly resolve that these bugs shall not have crashed in vain — that this code base, under Looking Glass, shall have a new birth of customer traction, and that software of the users, by the users, for the users, shall not perish from the App Store.
